Good things circulate

Borrow
Instead.

Tools, gear, and good neighbors. Right around the corner.

Meet Porchlight, Borrowhood’s neighborhood lending shelf concept. We’re starting small with a free ten-shelf pilot.

The Porchlight idea

A little shelf.
A more connected neighborhood.

The thing you need might be next door. The person who lends it might become a familiar face.

Simple ideas.
Stronger neighbors.

01

Start with what’s sitting idle.

A drill. A camping stove. The extra chairs in your garage. The idea is simple: make the things you rarely use useful to someone nearby.

02

Give sharing a place on your street.

Porchlight is our neighborhood shelf concept: a physical cabinet on a porch or by the street, with small everyday items to lend. A visible invitation to get to know the people next door.

03

Borrow. Bring it back. Say thanks.

Neighbor-to-neighbor lending, with no money changing hands. Our pilot will help us learn how to make those small exchanges work well for a real block.

This is the concept we’re exploring in the pilot. App-based item listings, QR borrowing and returns are planned, and are not available yet.

Our starting point

Ten shelves.
One neighborhood.
A shared beginning.

The launch offer is a free ten-shelf neighborhood pilot. Start in one neighborhood, learn from the people who live there, and build a better way to lend together.

Why we’re starting on your street

The neighborhood pilot

Free.

No rental fees. No paid pilot offer. Just the idea of neighbors helping neighbors.

Create an account

An account does not reserve a shelf or confirm pilot participation. Location and timing are still to be confirmed.

Things are better
next door.

A ladder for the weekend. Chairs for a gathering. A reason to say hello. That’s the neighborhood we want to help build.
